Introducing The
Mobile Goat Shelter Mark III

Posted:

The Mobile Goat Shelter Mark II lasted about a year before it started falling apart.  The handlebar fell off again, to a worse degree, so last year my neighbor N.S. attached a metal handlebar from a garden tiller.  He also added a brace at the bottom-front and reattached the inner lawn mower wheel that had fallen off.

Another year after that and the thing is falling apart again.  It's lost a bicycle wheel, and the goats have chewed holes in the walls!  It at least still provides shade and shelter from the rain.

I'd like to build a better mobile shelter, but the cost of wood skyrocketed when the government decided which jobs were “essential” and who didn't deserve to earn a living.  Something lightweight built out of metal paneling would be nice, but that would probably roll over too easily in the fierce winds we get which sometimes blow over this heavy lugger.

Update:  Check out the The Mobile Goat Shelter Mark IV.
