My wife's brother intentionally misinterpreted something my three-year-old said as something rude, and joked about him mumbling.  This started a converastion about how my wife and her siblings have married mumblers:  My wife thinks she married a mumbler, her brother thinks he married a mumbler, and their sister (who is fluent in mumbly Spanish) thinks she married a mumbler.

I said, “Maybe it's not us; maybe you guys are all just hard of hearing.”
